September 2nd Saturday Activities
The September 2nd Saturday Art Stroll, sponsored by the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance, takes place Saturday, September 13th in participating shops, galleries and museums around the Island. Pick up an InfoMap at participating locations as well as local restaurants, lodging and visitor centers. Join us for a great evening of art under the stars. Most events take place between 6:00 – 10:00pm, unless noted.
Plein Air Reception, Exhibit and Sale
Comfort Suites – 6:00 – 10:00pm – Meet the artists who have been painting outdoor scenes of Chincoteague and Assateague for the past two days. Enjoy savory and sweet treats as you browse the artworks.

2nd Saturday Soirée - aNoPheles Blues Gallery. On Sept 13, 1503, Michelangelo started his famous statue of David. Share with us your memories of that day as we chip away at our stash of cosas giustas Italiano. See the Pope nightlite.
Keep in mind that while the shops and galleries listed above have special events scheduled this month, other members feature art, books, antiques and specialty foods in their shops and many provide special treats during the art stroll.
