Earth Day Community Participation and Free Cycle Donations

The Town of Chincoteague will be collecting old computers, small appliances, monitiors, etc for proper disposal on May 9, 2009 in Robert Reed Park from 10am – 5pm as a part of our annual Earth Day Celebration. The Town of Chincoteague will also be providing information on Clean Up Week, and all the tools needed for proper disposal both roadside pickup or other options.

Also Earth Day will feature a Free-Cycle booth promoting recycling and second hand shopping/swapping. Early donations for the booth can be brought to Egretmoon Artworks at 4044 Main St. Any electronics, small appliances, gadgets, or items in great second hand condition will be beneficial. People will be bringing things in working order they no longer use to swap for something more interesting. Any items left beyond 3pm will be sold for $5 each. All proceeds will benefit The Chincoteague High School Computer Lab.
