Sundial Books Hosts Author Rebecca M. Hale
Author Rebecca M. Hale will be signing copies of her new mystery novel, HOW TO WASH A CAT, at Sundial Books on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 2-4 pm. Sundial Books is located at 4073 Main Street, next to the Island Library.
Set in modern day San Francisco, HOW TO WASH A CAT revolves around a mysterious
pair of tulip-shaped cufflinks and the Gold Rush-era legend of the man who once wore
them. The story is told as a first person narrative by an unnamed woman who inherits her
uncle’s antique store. As she begins to explore the dusty contents of the showroom, the
narrator becomes suspicious about the stroke which allegedly caused her uncle’s death. A
cast of quirky characters circle around the narrator and her two cats, Rupert and Isabella,
as she grows closer and closer to unraveling the truth about the cursed cufflinks.
Danger can sneak up on you, especially when you’re not looking for it. Sometimes it
helps to know HOW TO WASH A CAT.
