2008 Earth Day Update - music along with activities for the kids!

More events have been added to the the first annual Earth Day celebration in Reed Park April 19, 2008.

Performing will be Diana Wagner, a classical guitarist/folk singer. Diana will be sharing some of her original earth day songs along with a unique selection of other music. She plans to have the kids’ involvement in part of her music presentation which should be fun for the kids! To see more about Diana Wagner visit www.dianawagnermusic.com.

Also during the event M.O.P.S a local group Mothers of Preschoolers will be hosting a kids’ play area! Look for bubble stations and fun distractions for our little Earth Day explorers.

Fresh Pride has donated 500 paper grocery bags which are being decorated by the local elementary school students. The week following Earth Day they will be at the local Fresh Pride store. So when you go to get your groceries remember to ask for paper bags and enjoy local artwork by the kids’!

Earth Day is a day for everyone to get involved. Residents and visitors are encouraged to meet in Reed Park on April 19, 2008 for a fun filled day to celebrate and come together as a community.
