Proverbs Reggae Band offers fans of all social economic and racial backgrounds a brand of musical poetry, Rootz Rasta style, that definitely compels you to get on your feet and dance when the rhythm hits you! Proverbs is an eclectic, spiritually, and socially conscious reggae band with a profound cultural base and deep rooted sound. Their musical influences range from a splash of Calyopso to genres such as SKA, Rootz Reggae, Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Compaz, zook, and soul. Specializing in socially conscious roots, the band endeavors to promote Ancient Wisdom through the art of music. Proverbs has shared stages with numerous international artists such as: Half Pint, Freddie McGregor, Chuck Brown, Collie Bud, Wyclef, Luciano, Dean Frazier, Mikey General, Leroy Sybils, Ras Michael and the Sons of Negus, Buju Banton, Tanya Stephens, Gramps Morgan, to name a few. US Coast Guard holds Open House
Tuesday, 24th @ 09:00amSector Field Office Eastern Shore at 3823 Main Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors and locals alike are invited to tour the 47' MLB and the 49' BUSL and other boats. Lectures and information on water safety and survival, small arms, safety gear requirements for vessels. Interactive displays regarding Maritime Electrical Safety and Communications as well as Aids to Navigation. Rescue Demonstrations throughout the day which may include a Helicopter Hoist with an MH-60 Jayhawk. Refreshments and fun for the whole family.
